About Us

Welcome to our vocational nursing school website! We are dedicated to providing students with the education and training needed to become competent and compassionate nurses. Our program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in healthcare, with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience and practical skills.

Our curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, and mental health. Admission

The admission process at St. Raphael Nursing School

VOCATIONAL NURSING PROGRAM is designed to be easy and straightforward, making it accessible to a wide range of students.

Duration: 15 months (1.3 year program)

Days: 4 Days a Week

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; A cumulative passing score of 75% or more on the Admission Assessment Exam; Submitting application to at St. Raphael School of Nursing.

Prerequisites: None required

Students must have completed high school or attained a GED to be eligible for admission. They must provide proof of this, such as a copy of their high school diploma, transcripts, or GED/HSE. If the student completed high school outside of the United States, their diploma must be translated into English and evaluated to ensure it meets US standards for high school equivalence. The cost of this evaluation is the responsibility of the student. This requirement helps to ensure that all students meet the necessary academic qualifications for admission to the college.

Students must pass an entrance examination with a minimum score of 75%. If there are more applicants than available seats in the program, the applicants with the highest entrance test scores will be selected. Students are allowed to take the entrance test twice if they do not reach the minimum score on the first attempt. In this case, the average of the two test scores will be used to rank the students for program selection purposes. Once a student is selected, they must submit a completed application package and all required documents to proceed with enrollment. This requirement helps to ensure that students have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the program.

In addition to the entrance examination and application package, St. Raphael School of Nursing requires students to undergo a physical examination conducted by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner. This examination is necessary to ensure that students are in good health and able to participate in the program without any medical concerns. The results of the physical examination must be submitted to the school as part of the application process.

Students must have proof of all required immunizations and vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine. This is important to ensure the health and safety of all students, faculty, and staff on campus.

The physical examination and immunization requirements are important components of the admissions process at St. Raphael School of Nursing. They help to ensure that students are healthy and ready to learn, while also promoting the health and safety of the entire campus community. students are required to undergo a consumer background report after the start of the program. This report may be used to evaluate a student's eligibility for clinical placement or licensure as an LVN.
